GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) believes people who don’t have prescription drug coverage should be able to get the medicines they need. If you don’t have prescription drug coverage, there may be ways to save on your prescription medicines. GSK patient assistance programs provided medicines valued at almost $388 million (Wholesale Acquisition Cost) to more than 484,000 patients during 2007. "GSK For You" features information on patient assistance programs from other resources, too..

Patient assistance programs are run by pharmaceutical companies to provide free medications to people who cannot afford to buy their medicine. RxAssist offers a comprehensive database of these patient assistance programs, as well as practical tools, news, and articles so that health care professionals and patients can find the information they need. All in one place.

Although the "Help is Here Express" bus tour was not able to come to Wyoming this year, the Partnership for Prescription program is available all the time over the phone and web for free. So far, the PPA has helped over 12,620 people in Wyoming receive assistance paying for their prescription medications. The PPA program is a portal to 475 prescription assistance programs and helps low-income or under-insured patients get access to programs that can help them receive free or nearly free medications. It is free and confidential, and available at www.PPARx.org or 1-888-4PPA-NOW. It is sponsored by the pharmaceutical companies that provide the programs. If you or your organization would like brochures or have questions about the PPA, please let me know.Although the "Help is Here Express" bus tour was not able to come to Wyoming this year, the Partnership for Prescription program is available all the time over the phone and web for free.
